DSC Sport Frequently Asked Questions
Product FAQ
What is a DSC? What does it do?
Our Dynamic Suspension Controller replaces your factory suspension control module to gain full control of your factory shocks. The DSC uses an advanced active control strategy that responds to conditions to command stiffness of the shocks in real time. Additionally, the DSC uses the full operating range of the shocks where the factory controller uses only a fraction.
How do I determine compatibility?
DSC controllers are vehicle generation specific.
Ex. 718 and 981 are two different vehicle generations and are not interchangeable. Please use the selection menu to select your accurate vehicle generation when purchasing a controller. If you make a mistake while ordering, please contact us as soon as possible to make a correction.
Some of our controller types share a case style. This is inline with OEM manufacturers, where case styles for suspension controllers are shared between different makes and models. Ex. Porsche 991 and Hellcat OEM suspension modules share a case style.
While these controllers make look the same, the internals are different and not cross-compatible.
We cannot guarantee compatibility on aftermarket purchases, and our staff is unable to confirm compatibility or make any claims to that effect.
Will I notice a difference?
By utilizing the full capabilities of your shocks, you will notice your car responding better to changing conditions, adapting in real time to the road and your driving style, and improving comfort and performance overall. Noticeably, you might not feel a difference immediately when changing modes in the way that you do with an OEM module. This is because a DSC module responds to numerous inputs, like steering angle and g-forces to respond to reality rather than make a prediction based on the mode. With a DSC module, modes instead control the range you want your module to operate within (with overlap between modes to improve comfort and reduce the need for constant switching). i.e. in Comfort, the range is on the softer end of the spectrum, whereas in Sport the range shifts slightly stiffer.

“It’s game changing and truly transforms the cars performance. I have a hard time putting into words just how transformational the DSC Sport Controller is in EVERY driving situation. The handling gains during aggressive street driving and on the track are shocking. Hugh improvement over the OEM controller. Just truly amazing.”
— Rikhek, C7 Corvette
How do I install my DSC?
Installation guides can be found on the appropriate product page, or in the email you received after placing an order.
Does the DSC Sport controller come preloaded with a file for my car?
Yes. DSC Sport spends countless hours testing and tuning before releasing support for any vehicle. Each DSC Sport controller comes from our facility loaded with a calibration file optimized for virtually all users. In most cases, minor suspension modifications, such as lowering springs for example, do not require updating the calibration file.
If you purchased aftermarket or would like to request specialized assistance in creating a custom file for your needs, contact us to inquire.
Will DSC cause my suspension to wear out faster?
No, DSC Sport does not add any stress to the factory dampers or other suspension components. In fact, the factory control method sends a constant current to the dampers, while DSC Sport alters the current and utilizes a series of on/off commands. Under normal usage, DSC Sport will ultimately send less current to the dampers allowing for better cooling during usage.

Founded in 2011, DSC quickly established itself as an industry leader in dynamic suspension control, leveraging decades of racetrack experience to develop best in class suspension solutions for a wide range of luxury and performance vehicles.

Owner and founder Michael Levitas, the engineer and mastermind behind TPC Racing, founded DSC powered by his vision of utilizing his performance expertise in suspension research and development to develop a suspension solution for the digital age. To Levitas, with an unwavering passion for sports cars and motorsport, track performance and street comfort are not mutually exclusive.

With championship titles spanning from the 2006 24 Hours of Daytona to the 2013 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge, Levitas and his team of engineers, technicians, and professional drivers have helped set the bar for suspension engineering across various professional race series over the past decade. Using the race data and knowledge gathered from years of success racing Porsche cup cars, Levitas created an algorithm to control the damping level of each individual shock in real time.

Within just a few short years, with the introduction of the DSC controller, DSC became the first company to release a fully-integrated suspension control unit, and remains at the forefront of electronic suspension development. Today, our in-house engineers work hands-on every day with vehicles new and old, improving our existing product line and developing the suspension systems of the future.
